SIC (US 1987) : Dybdal Charolais is located near Newcastle in the northeast corner of Nebraska. Larry and Krista along with their family Taylor, Ty and Trisha, run 200 head of purebred Charolais and 150 commercial cows. Along with the cattle operation, the family also operates a diversified farm consisting of corn, beans, alfalfa, wheat, and oats.
The Dybdals have found the Charolais breed to be quite versatile. It works well for the purest of seedstock herds as well as the commercial cattleman. The Charolais cross adds significant pounds to calves at sale time.
The Dybdal Charolais program consists of both artificial insemination and embryos, along with their proven herd sires. They have found that this program strengthens the genetic capabilities to provide the best possible bloodlines in the Charolais industry. The cowherd is a very moderate framed herd. The bulls that have sired these calves are some of the best in the breed.
Each of the Dybdal children stayed quite active showing cattle throughout the years and have each started their own small herds that are part of the Dybdal Charolais Herd.
